Three bullocks got themselves trapped in a slurry pit on Monday (May 3).
Fire crews were called to the farm at Broadwoodkelly near Hatherleigh at 9.50pm.
One fire appliance from Hatherleigh and the special rescue team from Barnstaple attended.
The three bullocks were stuck in the slurry pit so a vet was called to sedate them for the rescue.
Crews used water rescue gear, triple extension ladder, strops and small tools, to release the cows, who were then left with the farmer.
