For fans of Victoria – inspired by the current television series - there is the chance to own a little piece of history - a decorative silver teapot in the Indian taste. Dated 1878 it was made just a year after Queen Victoria was proclaimed Empress of India by Disraeli. The title aimed to link the monarchy more closely with the Empire and bind India together with Britain. The move inspired craftsmen such as Edwards and Sons, of Glasgow, to create Indian influenced pieces such as the teapot included in the October auction. It has an affordable pre-sale guide of £120-£160.

Continuing the Victorian theme is an attractive oak country house pillar-box. This appealing piece is guided at £200-£300.
