THERE is plenty of interest in some ‘60s pop nostalgia which will be going under the hammer at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s specialist quarterly collectors sale tomorrow (Friday, June 8) at The Octagon Salerooms, East Reach, Taunton.

Avid fans of The Beatles have been looking at the lot on the auction house’s online catalogue as well as visiting the Taunton salerooms in person. A number of interested parties have already registered bids ahead of tomorrow’s sale.

The lot comprises a printed flyer for a performance by The Beatles at The Gaumont Theatre, Taunton, in 1963 along with a ticket from one of the performances and a Beatles Fan Club flexidisc Christmas record, 1963.

Another lot features tickets for performances at The Gaumont Theatre, Taunton, by The Rolling Stones; Freddie & The Dreamers; The Searchers/Dionne Warwick and The Dave Clark Five along with a quantity of autographs.

It is not just showbiz autographs that will feature in tomorrow’s sale, those of a more historical and literary nature including Churchill, Rudyard Kipling and Stanley Baldwin have attracted enormous pre-sale interest.

The sale gets underway at 10am tomorrow, while today (Thursday) the monthly antiques sale commences at 10am.
