COMIC legends Jasper Carrott and Alistair McGowan are doubling up in more ways than one at The McMillan Theatre.
The pair are not only joining forces on the same bill but have agreed an extra night of top stand-up and impressions.
They first teamed up last year for a one-off festival appearance, and it proved a match made in comedy heaven
Splitting the evening between them, the mix of Jasper’s inimitable stand-up and Alistair’s peerless impressions is a terrific experience for the audience and the artists alike.
Jasper said: “After last year we both wanted to do more together.
“For me the chance to work with such an accomplished performer as Alistair is a dream come true.
“Just past my 70th year, this might be my last series of shows.
“It means I can go out on a high in the best comedy company.”
Drawing on their wealth of experience the two masters of comedy present a show of pure laughter and entertainment that is not to be missed
Jasper took a break from live performance after a 40 year career that has taken him around the globe and seen him showered with awards including the prestigious BBC TV Personality of the Year and the British Comedy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2003 Jasper was awarded an OBE in Her Majesty’s New Year’s Honours List, in recognition of his outstanding work for charity.
The pair's first show, November 15, has nearly sold out and tickets are available for November 16, so don’t miss this chance to see the godfather of British comedy Jasper Carrott and Britain’s leading comedy impressionist Alistair McGowan at the top of their game, having a blast and delighting audiences in their unique ways.
Tickets cost £25.
Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office, in person, or by phone, Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm, Bath Road, Bridgwater, 01278 556677.
