TWO literary classics will be brought to life on the stage.

Chapterhouse Theatre return (Peter Pan, A Christmas Carol) to the Regal Theatre in Minehead with two of their latest productions to delight local audiences.

The company has established itself as a successful and critically acclaimed touring theatre, travelling with adaptations of literature’s favourite stories and people may remember past performances of Peter Pan and A Christmas Carol.

On Tuesday, August 28, at 7pm, it will be Robin Hood and His Merry Men.

Robin Hood and his band of merry men are feared by the richest of the land as they steal from the rich and give to the poor.

When the evil Sheriff of Nottingham schemes to stop the outlaws, the merry men join Maid Marian to rescue Robin from the Sheriff’s evil clutches and restore peace.

Inspired by folklore and legend, this version of Robin’s notorious story is brought alive with sword play, song, music, dance and stunning medieval costumes.

The following night, Wednesday, August 29, at 7pm, Chapterhouse perform The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Deep in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside a terrifying mystery awaits the arrival of the world’s greatest detective.

When the wife of Doctor Watson suddenly disappears, a desperate quest to find her begins.

Sherlock Holmes comes face to face with his greatest fear at the hands of his mortal enemy in this new tale of romance and suspense.

Shows on both nights begin at 7pm (earlier than usual) and tickets costing up to £16 are available from the Regal Box Office (01643 706430), 10am – 3pm Monday – Saturday.
