FRANKENFEST is taking shape and coming to life.

This is the Hallowe’en spectacular is being put together by Milverton Amateur Dramatic Society.

The variety show opens with a song called This is Halloween from the Nightmare before Christmas.

Then it moves into a scene with the Mayor of Ingerstoldt who will tell us what the play is about (200 year anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein) he is aided by his sidekick Igor.

It then moves into a Pete and Dud style sketch written by Lawrence John, Entertainment reporter at the County Gazette.

This is followed by Rocky Horror Picture show - Light over at the Frankenstein place. We then have a comedy sketch about 3 witches. Lastly they close the act with a short play by Angie Sage (the author of the Septimus Heap books ) called Whitby Rendevous which is a horror story involving a smoke machine.

Then there is a break for a two course meal (snacks are on the table - bread sticks, crisps and dips). Meal is a Ghoulish goulash then a plum composite pudding.

Act two will consist of the Women’s Institute Gathering for the Misfits - Zombies, Werewolves, Witches etc hosted by Death as the chairperson. A guest speaker is invited over to share techniques on how to deal with the stress leading up to Christmas. Naturally everything goes hysterically wrong.
