MUSIC on the Levels has announced details of its November concert in St Mary’s Church, Westonzoyland.
It will be Colin Bloch: Sound the Trumpets! on Sunday 25 November 25 at 3.30 pm
Is a spectacular seasonal concert presented in the wonderful acoustics of the beautiful historic parish church.
Colin Bloch (trumpets & horn), accompanied by Linda Stocks (cello) & Jacquelyn Bevan (keyboards), performs an assortment of pieces from the Renaissance to the present on his collection of brass instruments of all shapes and sizes. Thrill to virtuoso pieces by Jeremiah Clarke, Charpentier, Mozart, Verdi, Bernstein Francaix and others.
‘The concert is suitable for all ages, including families with children’, comments Colin, who devised the programme, ‘and there will be the chance to try out some of the instruments!’
The concert is in St Mary’s church, Westonzoyland’s TA7 0EO on Main Road, and will start at 3.30pm. Doors open at 3pm.
There is no need to book; just turn up at the Church Hall in time to be seated by 3.30 pm. Doors open at 3pm.
