THE Brew Film Fest continues all this week with some great movies to catch.
On Sunday, it was the turn of The Martian starring Matt Damon as the astronaut abandoned on Mars.
The film was very atmospheric and positive, even spiritual. Only disappointment were the ranks of journalists at the NASA press conferences asking if poor old Matt would be stranded forever on the red planet.
The journos were far too well behaved and well dressed to be realistic. Otherwise, The Martian deserved all the honours it received when it was released last year.
Among the films you can catch this week is the Hitchcock classic, Torn Curtain, starring Paul Newman as a scientist and a very serious Julie Andrews.
The highly acclaimed, Anomalisa (May 17) is followed by Frankenstein (May 18) and The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming! (May 19)
