IT’S all change at the top for one of the county’s choirs.
The start of the new term in September will also be the beginning of a new era for our choir as we welcome a new leader to replace Caroline Rigby, who retired this summer.
The new leader, Claire Stronach, lives in Taunton and was educated at Wellington School.
Claire has been trained in the Natural Voice principle for singing, the same method by which Caroline taught, so the transition should be smooth for both leader and choir.
This is the philosophy when “anyone who can talk can sing.”
This is Claire’s first opportunity to lead a choir of her own and she is very excited at the prospect.
The choir members are looking forward to the new opportunities ahead and Claire can be assured of a very warm Wellington welcome.
The choir draws members from Wellington, Taunton, Tiverton, villages on the Blackdowns and all the places in between.
If you would like to experience singing in a community choir then why not come along to the Taster Session on Thursday, September 21, at 7.30 pm in the Baptist Centre, South Street, Wellington.
The cost to come along is £5 and no voice auditions required.
