CHORISTERS from Taunton’s Rivertones stunned two of BBC Somerset’s presenters with their singing skills into spending a three-hour vocal session with them.
What was supposed to be a flying visit from broadcasters Ben McGrail and Ross Pollard ended up being a full vocal warm up, section rehearsal, repertoire polishing, topped off with a scratch quartet to perform the BeeGee's ‘It's Only Words’ in front of the whole chorus.
The Rivertones’ close harmony singing group has been based in Taunton for over 30 years and draws members locally and from Dorset, Devon and North Somerset. The group is a past winner of the small chorus UK championship.
