BOOKING is well and truly open for a steamy affair in Norton Fitzwarren next month.
Over the weekend of August 2-3 the West Somerset Railway Association will lay on its Steam Fayre and Vintage Vehicle Rally.
Whether you’ve got engineering know-how or not, there will be plenty of sights to savour, from trusty tractors and gleaming era vehicles to military tanks, displays and railway exhibits.
Visitors can take a trip along the old Barnstaple Branch line on a ‘brake van’ towed by a steam engine, and have a go at working a pump trolley along the rails of a turning triangle.
Entry for the weekend costs £8 for adults, and £2 per child. To book in advance, and for more details visit www.steamrally.org
