A HIGHLY entertaining evening of fast-fingered jazz was performed at a packed Cossington village hall.
Virtuoso violinist Ralph Allin was joined by his regular pianist and rhythm players for an evening of popular jazz played with superb musicianship.
‘Jealousy’, ‘Autumn Leaves’, ‘Cheek to Cheek’ and ‘Over the Rainbow’ were just a few numbers from the band’s vast repertoire from the great jazz eras, and the concert concluded with a stunning version of Monti’s Czardas.
A raffle in support of Bridgwater League of Friends raised over £100.
More jazz is in the pipeline for December and all of 2015.
