Letter to the Editor fondly recalls the Singh family

I was so pleased to read your article about the Singh family.

I remember dear old Pakhar when I was a very young child.

We were so excited when he came to see what he had in his suitcases.

Mother used to buy clothes for us.

We lived on a farm on top of the Blackdowns at Smeatharpe Aerodrome.

When we grew up, my sister went to work in their Wellington shop.

I bought my first baby clothes from them.

They were such a lovely family.

I think she used to take Tom's sister to school.

It was such lovely times back then.

I still have a baby nightdress that came from them.
