A SCHEME to stem the tide of people who turn up at accident and emergency departments this winter has been introduced.
Somerset’s pharmacists are working with the county’s family doctors and the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group, to offer the public a ‘Minor Ailment Service”.
Pharmacies will supply medicines for certain specific conditions and people extempt from prescription charges are still covered under the scheme.
