STUDENTS got a taste of working life during a careers day at Kingsmead School.
Professionals from industries such as engineering, teaching, the armed forces, law, finance, IT and representatives from the Environment Agency spoke to teenagers about that their jobs entail, the qualifications needed and the career path that could be expected.
The day is timed to help focus the students as they prepare to consider their GCSE option choices.
Head of applied learning Charlie Pierce said: βIt is crucial that the students learn about a number of areas and careers so that they can make informed choices about their futures.β
