HOME OWNERS in and around Wiveliscombe are being encouraged to help stamp out rural crime.
Police are launching a free property marking scheme – a deterrent to would-be thieves.
A PCSO takes details of valuables at your home, such as a serial number and marks it with your postcode.
PCSO Louise Fyne said: “Rural Watch posters are provided, telling those that may be interested in your equipment not to bother.
“The above information is then entered into the property database and a copy emailed or left with the owner.”
