A CHILDREN'S author visited pupils at Bishops Lydeard Primary School to kick-start National Share-A-Story Month.

Kathryn White read to each year group and children made masks that linked to her stories.
Year three pupils were treated to a true story called 'Carving the Sea Path', about a trapped whale in Alaska.

Kathryn said: “The Bishops Lydeard pupils were bursting with questions about books and writing, so many in fact that I've placed them on my website.

“After I read, the children made some stunning masks linked to my book characters. It was a fabulous day and I would like to thank everyone at the school for such a fun day.”
