MINEHEAD is gearing up for its first music festival in just over a week.
Musicians and performers from all over England, but many based here in West Somerset will be showcasing their talent.
Richard Neal, who runs Minehead Music, has been busy organising the Minehead Musicians’ Festival.
The event takes place on September 20, from 11am to 11pm at The Beach Hotel’s forecourt, restaurant and ballroom.
Richard said he felt humbled that 40 performers had signed up to entertain the crowds, and there are open stage slots for other musicians, too.
He added: “This is a grass roots festival and no money is involved; people are attending and playing for the fun of it.”
Minehead Music gives performers a chance to showcase their talent regularly at open sessions in venues across Minehead.
