NEARLY 600 people descended on the playing field at Curry Rivel Primary School for a free family event.
Organised by Kaye Morgan, the event, held for nursery and primary school aged children and their parents/guardians, featured a climbing wall, exotic animals, and plenty of opportunities for messy play and craft activities.
Kaye, who raises money throughout the year to pay for the event, said: “It’s great to see the kids enjoying themselves.
“It’s a very active event for both their minds and bodies. It also takes them away from their computer toys for a few hours.
“They get plenty of physical exercise on the 24ft climbing wall that has always been a firm favourite with all ages and they get a fair bit of education about exotic wild life.”
Kay added: “It gets harder every year raising the money to pay for this event but when you see how much the kids enjoy themselves it’s worth the effort.”
