COTFORD St Luke Primary School has won an award for the way it encourages pupils to be healthy and sporty.
The school has picked up the Government’s Silver Games Mark, under an initiative developed by the Youth Sport Trust and Sport England.
School sports co-ordinator Michael Auton said: “The children of Cotford Primary School have a wide and varied sporting opportunity and a strong emphasis is placed on fun, achievement and doing their best.
“The children at our school are very lucky to have access to such a wide range of sports and this is all down to the willingness of the staff to run clubs and travel to various competitions within the district and even the county.”
Lydia Rosling, who competes for Great Britain in the Modern Pentathlon, visited the school last week to present the award.
