TAUNTON businessman Leonardo Tramonte has retired – although he’ll try to stay busy.

Mr Tramonte, 69, closed his restaurant in Hankridge last week and the building has been sold to be developed as offices.

His career dating back decades includes ventures into hairdressing, estate agency, plumbing and electrical businesses and another restaurant.

He said: “I might be retiring, but I can’t stay still – I’ve got to do something.

“It was sad to close the restaurant, which I opened in 1999 after converting an old barn.

“But it’s been successful and I’d like to thank all my staff and clients for their support over the years.”
