A CONCERT held at Wellington Baptist Church before Christmas raised over £400 for two charities.
Wellington Baptist Church invited the Blackdown Community Choir to perform at their musical concert on December 12 and proceeds went to their own church charities and, at the choir’s request, their chosen charity St Margaret's Hospice.
The other acts performing at the concert were The Steel Band of Castle School, Blues Guitarist Darren Hodge and the Skin Tight Samba Band.
The proceeds of the concert were shared equally and the Blackdown Community Choir were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £415.69 to Sally Gosney, manager of St Margaret's Hospice Shop in Fore Street, Wellington, at their first choir session this term
