NURSERY apprentice Rob Parsons will be the youngest exhibitor at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

Rob, aged 20, will be joined by his manager at Kelways Nursery, in Langport, Gary House, who is slightly more experienced at the grand old age of 23, and plant sourcing expert Dave Root.

Dave, who recently featured on TV with Charlie Dimmock on the Great British Garden Revival, has come up with a range of peonies, irises and, for the first time, tree ferns as Kelways celebrates 135 years since its first appearance at the world famous event.

“It will be great to bring these fantastic garden plants to Chelsea,” said Dave.

“I’m so excited to give Rob the opportunity to create what has been my personal dream for over 20 years.

“Rob is supremely passionate about his tree ferns, and it’s so refreshing to nurture and encourage young talent in the horticultural industry.”

Chelsea Flower Show runs from May 19 to 23.
