MINEHEAD charity C.L.O.W.N.S. is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the retirement of manager Kathy Morton.

On April 2 at Minehead Rugby Club, the charity will host a celebration event – a chance for all who have been involved with C.L.O.W.N.S. over the 20 years to come together and say a fond farewell to Kathy.

Kathy, who has been the manager of C.L.O.W.N.S. since its inception, is retiring from the role, but will continue to work on certain days on the C.L.O.W.N.S. Playbus. Jan Ross, chairman of the charity, said Kathy has played a pivotal role in helping C.L.O.W.N.S. grow, from providing a playbus to running activity sessions herself.

Jan said: “Kathy’s renowned for her endless enthusiasm, creative ideas and energy, and her wonderful example of quality working with children of all ages.

“We’d be delighted to see anyone who has been involved with C.L.O.W.N.S. over the past 20 years pop in to see us at this special event between noon and 3pm.

“Coffee, tea and celebration cake will be available with the playbus outside and a few activities in the hall for children to participate in.”
