THE Bishop of Taunton met with Wiveliscombe Fathers 4 Justice representative Richard Adams at Wells last week to discuss the issues surrounding family breakdown.
Mr Adams said: "The meeting was very friendly and amicable and the Bishop appeared to be very concerned about the plight of children who have no father figure and the experiences of fathers going through the family court process."
Before the meeting there had been suggestions that Fathers 4 Justice would protest outside the residence of the Bishop of Taunton, but Mr Adams said: "I feel as a result of this meeting and his words of support there will be no further action against the Church of England in Wells or Taunton for the foreseeable future."
