THERE was bad news for Johnny Depp fans this week with firm denials that he had bought a house on the Quantocks.

Rumours have been circulating that the Hollywood heartthrob of Pirates of the Caribbean had spent £2.5million on Timbercombe House, in Broomfield.

It was claimed that he and his partner, French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, were moving in with their two children, who had apparently been booked into an independent school in Taunton.

But Depp's agent, the man who sold the house and the estate agents all deny the star had snapped up the 150-year-old former hunting lodge.
