With news that one London council is about to start testing dog poo for DNA in a bid to crack down on owners, could this help catch the stinky suspects in Somerset?
The DNA tests to track down owners who don't clean up their pets will be launched in Barking and Dagenham.
Anyone caught will be fined £80 from September 2016, with the DNA compared against a database of DNA collected by the council.
What do you think? Do you live in an area blighted by dog waste and ignorant owners or is this a step to far?
