A WELLINGTON man who lives right next door to the proposed Mantle Street medical centre has claimed it will be a nightmare if the scheme is approved.
Norman Clarke lives on Foxdown Drive and his drive would run right past the suggested centre, replacing the Bulford Medical Centre.
He told the County Gazette the scheme would ruin all the hard work he had taken on to encourage a number of wildlife species to the area.
He said there were lesser horseshoe and brown long-eared bats, buzzards, slow-worms, badgers, pheasants and dormice on his land and the surrounding area and he has been cultivating two trees so the RSPB can release barn owls into the area.
Mr Clarke said: "If the medical centre goes through it will ruin everything. They forget that their 'drive' will be my garden."
