A 40-YEAR-OLD man was attacked in a robbery last Thursday (April 30) which left him with serious head injuries and little memory of the attack. Police believe the man, who had his bike stolen, was attacked with a bottle.
The victim had been fishing along the Tone near Priory Bridge Road late afternoon and may have been unconscious for some time before he called home at 9.15pm with the help of a woman police are keen to speak to.
Police would like to speak to two men and a blonde woman. The stolen bike is a de-badged Saracen, silver in colour.
It has a small mudguard at the front and a large one at the back.
Police are appealing for witnesses to this incident and in particular, a female who helped the victim on Station Road in calling his partner.
