THIS wool skirt suit consisting of a pleated knitted skirt and ribbed jacket was purchased in 1960 from Hatchers of Taunton.
Hatchers is one of the oldest department stores in the world having opened in 1775.
It began life as a drapery slowly shop expanding to include other departments as can be seen in the store today.
This skirt suit is part of the costume and textiles collection held at the Somerset Heritage Centre and can be viewed by appointment.
