A man has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A38 near Taunton this afternoon, with firefighters having to cut the roof off a vehicle to free him from the wreckage.
Two fire appliances from Taunton and a Rescue Tender were mobilised to a two vehicle road traffic collision with reports of one person trapped at Adsborough, Creech St Michael.
Crews worked with paramedics to free the casualty. Crews used road rescue equipment for roof removal.
One male casualty was removed from the vehicle by fire service personnel and transported to hospital via road ambulance.
