STAFF, pupils and parents of Wellesley Park Primary School in Wellington enjoyed an evening of sunshine, song and strawberries to raise money for charity and for the school.
Dozens of people turned out for the Strawberry Evening last Thursday, which raised £162.32 for charity.
The school newsletter said: “We had a wonderfully warm and sunny evening for Strawberry Evening last night and once again, this popular family fiesta was a great success.
“The choir sang beautifully and the recorders gave a terrific recital and of course the strawberries were, as always, absolutely delicious.”
The proceeds are to be split between a charity of the children’s choice (£100) - and a BBQ lunch, DVD and ice-creams for the school celebration day on July 10.
