A TAUNTON man who always puts his partner and their daughter first has won the title Somerset’s ACE parent.
Jonathan Gallagher was nominated by his partner Lorin Milligan for the support he gave here after she lost bother her parents annd grandparents on quick succession.
Lorin praised Jonathan for building up her confidence and helping her focus on the couple’s daughter, Poppy, aged three.
The competition was run by stain remover and detergent booster ACE Gentle in a bid to find parents that do amazing things.
His prize is a day at the races at Wincanton Racecourse, where he and Lorin will be treated to drinks and lunch in the directors’ box – and hopefully a win or two.
Jonathan said: “I am very grateful as I don't feel I go above and beyond.
“Finding out what Lorin said about me warmed my heart and I will continue being the best father and ‘better’ half I can be.”
Jonathan will now be entered into ACE Gentle’s grand final, where four of the 12 regional winners will be chosen as the overall ACE parents and be awarded with a special prize.
