A TAUNTON businesswoman who worked with Cilla Black on one of her programmes has joined the tributes to the TV star who died on Saturday.
Rhona Gilmour, who runs a health and beauty clinic, did the make up for the second couple to get married through Cilla's Blind Date programme.
David Fenton, of Churchniford, proposed to his wife-to-be Lilian after the couple were matched up on air.
Rhona recalled: "I went down to the Tiverton Motel to do the make up and Cilla was there with her husband, Bobby.
"She was good fun and everybody seemed to like her.
"She and Bobby were together all the time and seemed to be made for each other.
"I was saddened by the news of her death - she was only 72, which isn't a great age."
There was huge media attention when the Fentons married at Hemyock Church in the early days of Blind Date - there's was the second wedding brought about by the series.
Rhona attended the reception at Burnworthy Manor, where, she says, Cilla enjoyed a glass or two of champagne.
