MEMBERS of a football club are furious after thieves stole a pair of youth goals.
The 9v9 plastic goals worth £900 were stolen from Bishops Lydeard Football Club just three months after being installed.
Organisers say the youth teams won’t be able to play until the goals are replaced.
Chairman Gary Brown said: “It is such a shame that someone has done this and stolen the goals.
“What’s worse is that they haven’t just taken from the club but they have taken from the children.
“People come and take things and don’t think about what they’ve done, they have thought of no one but themselves.
“It’s just so thoughtless.”
The new season starts in September and time is ticking for the goals to either be returned or replaced.
