A BRAVE woman who overcame cancer of the tongue is leaping out of a plane for charity.
Melanie Thouless, who is from Curry Rivel but lives in North Petherton, is skydiving in aid of the Children's Hospice South West.
She underwent treatment for cancer five years ago when she was 40 years old and beat the disease, and wants to give something back.
The jump is taking place at Dunkerswell Airfield on October 10.
So far, Melanie has raised £740.
Melanie's dad, Brian Edwin Evans, said: "We're all going to be there watching and supporting.
"Any donations would be greatly appreciated."
