ANOTHER barn fire has raged in Mid Devon following last week's ten hour blaze.
The latest inferno took place in Tiverton this morning (Monday, October 5) from 8.44am and saw all the contents of the barn destroyed.
The Devon and Somerset fire service also reported 20% damage to the barn, which is in Little Haydon, Stoodleigh.
On the fire service website, it said: "Two appliances from Tiverton, one from Bampton and the Water Carrier from Exeter Danes Castle, were mobilised following a report of a barn on fire at the above location.
"Upon arrival crews located a fire within a barn of approximately 20m by 20m, containing bales of hay which were well alight. Crews set to work with two hose reel jets."
At 10.03am, 60 bales of hay were removed to open air. Two hose reel jets and mechanical aid were in use and analytical risk assessment in place.
At 11.07am, the fire service reported 20% of the barn was damaged by fire, with contents 100% of its contents damaged.
A spokesperson for the fire service added: "The cause was confirmed as accidental and the incident has been handed over to the farmer."
