A SATURDAY evening barbecue ended in a fire for a Taunton family.
Their porch caught fire after "careless disposal" of the barbecue coals, according to the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Fireighters soon had the blaze under control after being called to the incident in Fairfield Road, Taunton, in the early hours of Sunday.
The porch was severely damaged, while there was smoke damage to the kitchen and slight smoke damage to the rest of the first floor.
