BUSINESSES in Somerset have the chance to plan how to deal with a terrorist attack.
Firms are being invited to attend Project Argus, an interactive counter-terrorism exercise produced by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office and facilitated by the local Counter Terrorist Security Advisers.
But the lessons to be learned from the free, three-hour event are equally relevant to other major incidents and emergencies such as a mass evacuation due to the discovery of an unexploded bomb or a major gas or water leak.
The event, involving the emergency services at Ivel Barbarians Rugby Club, in Yeovil, on Thursday, June 7, will be based on a terrorist attack in a shopping centre.
Places are limited - to book contact jane.baker@avonandsomerset.police.uk or call 01275-816983 by June 1.
