FIREFIGHTERS were called to an accident at Whiteball Sandpit, Wellington, on Sunday morning at around 8.57am where a person was trapped in their vehicle.
The Fire Service were called to a report of a road traffic accident involving one vehicle with a person trapped.
On arrival the crews got to work stabilising the vehicle.
To enable the paramedics to gain access to the casualty the fire crews had to remove the roof of the vehicle. The casualty was then released and left in the care of the paramedics.
