MEMORIES flooded back for ex-pupils of the former Periton Mead Open Air Boarding School, Minehead on Saturday when they held a reunion in Blenheim Gardens in the town.
Today, the school, now re-named 24/7 @ Periton Mead, caters for young people with complex educational needs, but it was originally established around 1960 for children with health problems including asthma and eczema.
Iris Cason, organised the event, said: "It's 42 years since I left the school.
"We used to be brought from the school to the gardens for country dancing lessons."
