THE first turf was cut at St Margaret's Somerset Hospice to mark the start of work on a £2million new inpatient unit.
The ceremony at the Bishop's Hull hospice was carried out by Taunton Deane Mayor Chris Hindley and Marion Paull, whose daughter was cared for by St Margaret's last year.
The new facilities will allow the 25-year-old hospice to continue to offer specialist support for patients with terminal illnesses.
