BREAKING NEWS: POLICE have closed the A39 at Kilve while firefighters tackle a blaze in a camper van.
Pumps from Williton, Nether Stowey and Bridgwater are in attendance, supported by an incident support unit, a rescue tender, a command support unit and a water carrier. The Red Cross fire victim support is also attending.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 2pm.
One camper van was well alight with two gas cylinders involved, one of which exploded.
Fire crews using breathing apperatus are fighting the fire with two hose reel jets and one main jet. A second gas cylinder has been cooled down and has not exploded.
