TWO senior leaders from Taunton have been honoured after clocking up a combined total of almost 50 years with Somerset Army Cadet Force.
Former fire officer Lt Col Andy Smith, who has put in 37 years, received the third bar to his ACF Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, while Shirley Jolly was presented with her medal.
The medal marks 12 years' service and a bar is added for every subsequent eight years.
The presentations were made by Somerset Commandant Col Robbie Guest during a cadets' weekend training sessions at Yoxter, on the Mendips.
