PUPILS regularly turning up late or playing truant are to be encouraged to turn up for school - with dancing classes.
Youngsters who don't take part in sports such as football and cricket are to be given the chance to use dance mats.
The Tone School Sports Partnership has provided the mats at St Augustine's of Canterbury, Ladymead and Heathfield, in Taunton, and Court Fields, in Wellington.
And to see how the youngsters got on in a trial competition, see this week's Somerset County Gazette.
