MINEHEAD Dramatic Society presents Echoes of the Great War by Claire Jones from May 17-19 at the Regal Theatre.
The production is based on the events around the time of the Battle of the Somme in 1916, both at home and at the front in France. As well as the moving poetry of such great writers as Sassoon, Owen and Brooke the evening will contain reminiscences of Voluntary Aid Detachment nurses and many of the popular songs of the day, all performed by a talented cast of local actors and singers under the direction of Clive Wooldridge.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets up to £6.50 are now available from the Regal Box Office 01643-706430 10am-3pm Monday-Saturday.
