NUMBERS of children using Alcombe's Cheeky Cherubs nursery have tripled in the last three years, with staff numbers rocketing to match.

The nursery moved from a ground floor flat in Irnham Road, Minehead, into the newly-built Alcombe Childrens' Centre three years ago and has never looked back.

Joe Buck, who runs the nursery, said: "We now have 14 staff, up from four just a year ago, and 130 children aged from nought to five on our role."

She said an increase in the numbers of mums going back to work, coupled with requests from vulnerable families, had pushed up the need for spaces for very young children.
