A TAUNTON woman has raised over £550 for the treatment of women with gynaecological cancers at Musgrove Park Hospital in the town.
Beauty salon owner Becky Curwood completed the recent Taunton Half Marathon in 2hrs 15 mins.
She said: "I ran it to raise money to help with the treatment and care of women with ovarian cancer at my local hospital as I have a friend who lost her sister to the disease."
Services for women with cancers such as ovary, womb, cervix and vulva have been deemed good enough to earn Musgrove Cancer Centre' status, meaning patients can be treated nearer to home rather than having to travel to Bristol.
