THERE will be plenty of scary pumpkins in Milverton for Hallowe'en this weekend.
A total of 26 children entered their creations in the pumpkin carving competition organised by the Milverton and District Twinning Association.
The event in the Victoria Rooms aimed to raise money for the association and to encourage youngsters to participate in the community competition.
Author Angie Sage judged the contest and presented the prizes.
Peter Baldry, for the organisers, said: "The standard of entries was very high and lots of people said it was very community spirited."
Milverton is twinned with Longny au Perche, in Normandy.
