TAUNTON is showing solidarity with the people of France after the terrorist attacks on Friday which saw 129 people murdered in Paris and scores more seriously injured.
Nightclub Zinc lit up in the colours of the French flag as a sign of condolence with our neighbours across the Channel and in condemnation of the attackers.
At 11am students and teachers at Taunton School held a minute's silence to reflect on the atrocities, while the French tricolour was flown at half mast as a mark of respect.
Our sports players also took time to pause for a moment before taking part in their matches at the weekend.
The players from Taunton Town and Bognor Regis held a silence before their FA Trophy match at Wordsworth Drive, in Taunton.

At King's College, Taunton, students and staff are being asked to 'pause and pray' in rememberance of those who lost their lives.
Do you know anywhere else that showed their support for our French neighbours?
